Genesis. The beginning. The foundation. There’s a reason Genesis is one of the most attacked books of the Bible (particularly the first few chapters). Undermine the foundation of a book and you undermine the whole thing; all the more reason the believer would do well to make a serious study of this first book of the Bible. I wrote this series of Snippets a few years ago as a part of my responsibilities as a small group leader for my Women’s Bible Study. Enjoy, and I pray you are blessed!

Why a Christmas story in September? To be honest, I’m a bit burned out on Christmas. It seems to be about everything except the Lord. You’re so busy doing everything you’re “supposed” to do that if the Lord gets any mention at all, it’s almost an aside before you open the presents or eat the Christmas dinner. So, I decided to put this story up during the month our Lord was most likely really born. No one knows for sure, of course, but scholars who know more than me believe He was born sometime in late Summer or early Autumn. Besides, we should celebrate the birth of our Lord every day. We’ve been given no greater gift!
